Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

• Lead platform specific projects and initiatives on Satellite, Ground Systems and Customer Terminals as an Embedded SDE.
• Work on networking and/or consumer devices using embedded Linux, Yocto, and/or Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS); familiar with device trees; experience in kernel programming and/or device drivers, and/or working with peripheral devices.
• Experience with ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C interfaces, and flash devices; ARM-based systems are desirable.
• Familiar with manufacturing diagnostics related to the device’s journey from contract manufacturer through production phases (Hardware Validation Testing - HVT, Engineering Validation Testing - EVT, Device Validation Testing - DVT, Production Validation Testing - PVT) and with device provisioning processes involved in manufacturing.
• A day in the life: contribute to the design of embedded software used in Amazon Leo products; collaborate with teams inside and outside of Amazon; mentor software engineers and guide designs from requirements gathering through mass production; address high-priority issues as needed.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with networking and/or consumer devices using embedded Linux, Yocto, and/or Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing diagnostics through production phases like HVT, EVT, DVT, PVT

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
