Data Engineer — 100% Onsite in Redmond, WA

• Pay: $80.00 - $85.00/hr.

• SQL Expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL for complex querying optimization and database design. Experience with time-series databases, preferably Amazon Timestream.
• Amazon Timestream: Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing time-series data in Amazon Timestream. Proficiency in defining retention policies, querying, and optimizing time-series data workflows.
• Python Development: Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks including integration with AWS services. Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, SQL Alchemy, or PySpark for handling data processing and analysis.
• AWS Cloud Services: Deep knowledge of AWS services related to data engineering such as Amazon S3, Lambda, Redshift. Experience with managing data pipelines, security, and automation on AWS.
• Database Design & Management: Experience in schema design, performance optimization, and maintenance for both relational and No
  
  SQL databases. Understanding of best practices for cloud-based database management including backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Problem Solving & Performance Optimization: Strong troubleshooting skills for performance issues in both data pipelines and databases. Experience with scaling databases and pipelines to accommodate increasing data volume and complexity.

• Design, implement, and manage time-series data workflows and storage strategies, focusing on performance and reliability.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries; design databases to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Build and maintain data pipelines on AWS, ensuring data quality, security, and automation.
• Collaborate with teams to define data models and retention policies; implement monitoring and optimization practices.
