Project LEO is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Infrastructure for Over the Air software delivery Engineering (IOTA) team owns the software delivery for all Kuiper assets, such as satellites and ground stations, and their configurations. The systems we build serve a fundamental role in the successful operation of the satellite constellation and must have mission‑critical reliability, uptime, and performance.
Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key Job Responsibilities- Support a suite of software applications and services to update software on a constellation of satellites on ground and in orbit.
- Handle high‑impact production operations and issue triaging, coordinating with multiple Development, Product, and Support teams.
- Space Operations supporting OTA procedures, troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues.
- Develop tools, automation and monitoring solutions, perform software maintenance and configuration.
- Implement fixes for internally developed code (Python / Go) and update, track, and resolve technical challenges.
- Improve operational excellence and readiness of the systems.
- 2+ years of systems development experience.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
