Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and hands-on Operations Engineer to manage and support infrastructure, hardware, and lab operations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of physical and virtual assets, maintain system configurations, support testing environments, and provide operational support for hardware, software, and network components. This role is critical for ensuring smooth day-to-day lab operations and enabling engineering teams to work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Lab Management

• Manage and maintain stability labs and ensure proper functioning of infrastructure.
• Handle physical equipment inventory, including desktops, servers, phones, tablets, and lab peripherals.
• Oversee lab equipment organization, including cables, monitors, and routers.
• Support hardware tool engineering and ensure test equipment readiness.

Configuration & System Support

• Manage Windows and software inventory, including version control and patch updates.
• Perform WSD (Windows Subsystem for Linux/Development) configuration and provide scenario-specific support.
• Set up and configure systems for engineering teams; refresh/reset as needed.
• Support custom hardware configurations and software setups for engineering validation.

Asset & Inventory Management

• Maintain and track asset checkouts/returns, including updates in asset management systems.
• Perform routine inventory and asset configuration management.
• Coordinate hardware supplies and manage component readiness for testing.

Testing & Troubleshooting

• Set up and manage simulation environments, including VMs and emulators.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and investigations for both hardware and software.
• Perform verification testing and ensure compatibility of hardware/software configurations.

OEM & Partner Support

• Manage and validate OEM hardware updates, BIOS updates, custom patches, and related testing.
• Participate in OEM and partner test validation to ensure compliance and compatibility with company standards.

Network & Peripheral Support

• Provide basic network setup and support in lab environments.
• Manage configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and peripheral devices.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in infrastructure/lab operations or IT support roles.
• Hands-on experience with hardware tools, lab equipment, and asset tracking.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS, configuration management, and software version control.
• Familiarity with VMs, emulators, and test environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.
