The Americas Data Platform GBB organization exists to provide scarce database and modernization expertise that accelerates customer transformation, enables field execution, drives Azure database growth, and serves as Microsoft's feedback loop between customers, the field, engineering, and GTM.

* Customer Strategy, Technical Leadership & Modernization

+ Provide deep domain expertise across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure Databases, and data estate modernization.

+ Lead database modernization and cloud migration strategies for Microsoft's largest and most complex database estates.

+ Advise customers on architecture, modernization roadmaps, platform selection, and AI-ready data foundations.

+ Build executive relationships with customers to align database modernization initiatives with business outcomes and AI transformation goals.

+ Provide expertise on SQL licensing, Azure Arc, PAYGO, renewals, commercial strategy, and modernization economics.

Business Growth, Opportunity Acceleration & Competitive Strategy

+ Accelerate strategic customer opportunities by partnering with account teams, specialists, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, and partners.

+ Drive competitive displacement strategies against AWS, Oracle, Google Cloud, and other database platforms.

+ Develop and execute scalable growth motions that increase Azure database consumption, modernization velocity, and AI platform adoption.

+ Identify, qualify, and advance high-impact opportunities that accelerate customer transformation and cloud adoption.

+ Deliver measurable business value by aligning technical solutions to customer priorities and strategic outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

+ Partner across customers, field teams, engineering, product groups, Customer Success, and partners to drive successful solution outcomes.

+ Serve as the strategic connection point between customers, the field, engineering, and product teams to accelerate execution and customer success.
