Job Summary
The main function of a Supply Chain Planner is to coordinate the flow of information and materials within and between departments and among trading partners. A Supply Chain Planner is responsible for creating, reviewing, and distributing forecasts, demand plans, and supply plans. Work also includes defining processes and models that guarantee continuity of supply, mitigating demand fluctuations and other risks throughout the supply chain, and coordinating with execution, logistics, and procurement partners to ensure alignment on current plans‑of‑record and forward‑looking guidance.
TypicalDay in the Role
Purpose of the Team:
The purpose of this team is responsible for both operational planning and supply‑chain transformation work, including onboarding new suppliers, expanding managed product categories, and improving planning/reporting capabilities through tools such as SAP IBP, Power BI, and SQL.
- This role will contribute to creating, reviewing, and distributing forecasts, demand plans, and supply plans.
- Work also includes defining processes and models that guarantee continuity of supply, mitigating demand fluctuations and other risks throughout the supply chain, and coordinating with execution, logistics, and procurement partners to ensure alignment on current plans‑of‑record and forward‑looking guidance.
- Support demand and supply planning process design, testing, and operationalization for materials and labor requirements.
- Participate in Gap Analysis activity and drive continuous improvement in data quality, signal fidelity, and supply chain readiness.
- Develop and maintain planning analytics and dashboards.
- Support AI cooling equipment demand planning and execution readiness.
- Support CE Spares planning initiatives.
- Assist with fuel planning processes and forecasting.
- Drive planning data quality, reporting, and governance.
- Coordinate across Planning, Logistics, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of supply chain planning capabilities, business processes, and systems.
- Execute assigned work streams associated with planning process improvements and supply chain transformation initiatives.
- Create reporting, business reviews, and planning process documentation.
- Best of the Category: 5–7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
- Experience with ERP/MRP planning systems such as SAP IBP, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience with in technology, manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure, or data center environments is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical ability to interpret costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
- Accurately document and record planning activities, process mapping, and material flow.
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Excel, SAP IBP, Ariba, or similar ERP/MRP and procurement systems.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience creating automated reporting, dashboards, and planning analytics.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
- Preferred:
Bachelor's degree.
