Job Summary
The Patient Service Technician is responsible for delivering and picking up equipment from homecare patients. The anticipated salary range for this position is $24.50 - $26.20 per hour. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, education, and location.
Responsibilities- Deliver and pick up equipment to and from homecare patients.
- Set up equipment and instruct patients on its basic use.
- Assist patients with equipment‑related issues.
- Schedule and organize daily deliveries and pickups by geographic territory.
- Load and unload durable medical or infusion equipment, oxygen, and supplies onto the delivery vehicle.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including driver qualification documents, hours of service, hazardous materials documentation, and vehicle inspection and maintenance regulations.
- Complete necessary paperwork: daily delivery logs, pick‑up and delivery forms, reimbursement documents, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Notify supervisor when unsafe conditions or abuse are discovered in a patient’s home.
- Maintain vehicle condition and perform routine maintenance checks (gasoline, oil, tire pressure, brakes).
- Respond to emergency delivery calls and assist with equipment repair when needed.
- Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related work experience.
- Minimum of three years of driving history; valid driver’s license.
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
- Successful completion of Apria Healthcare’s Driver Training Program.
- Compliance with DOT, FDA and Joint Commission regulations.
- Business acumen and problem‑solving/analysis skills.
- Strong communication proficiency.
- Personal effectiveness and credibility.
- Basic computer skills for document management.
- English language skills (reading, writing, verbal). Basic math skills.
