MISSION
To clean and maintain facilities and grounds.
PRINCIPALACCOUNTABILITIES Plant Janitor
Objective: To maintain plant facilities in a clean, orderly manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Cleans offices, lunchrooms and bathrooms.
- Cleans and controls dust in manufacturing areas.
- Scrapes floors, vacuums dust and cleans in wax molding and assembly areas.
- Vacuums carpets.
- Cleans glass and other surfaces which may include light fixtures, stairs and lockers.
- Empties trash receptacles.
Other (Marginal) Job Functions
- Maintains janitorial supplies; provides orders to supervisor.
Objective: To maintain grounds in a clean manner.
Essential Job Functions:
- Removes trash from grounds surrounding plant.
- Empties trash receptacles.
Objective: To take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.
Essential Job Functions:
- Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
- Safely operates all equipment and tools.
- Identifies and reports safety problems.
- May be required to work with hazardous waste.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs other tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES, TOOLS AND/OR MACHINERY USED- Forklift (SSBO, TBO only)
- Mop and bucket
- Vacuum
- Buffer
- Scrubber
- Step ladder
- Training is provided on the job.
- Completion of PCC's Forklift Driving Safety Certification Training required. (SSBO, TBO)
- May be required to complete hazardous waste management training.
- Basic ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Valid driver's license in order to drive PCC vehicles.
