Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Landscape Construction Project Manager to lead multiple commercial and residential projects from inception to completion. This position requires expertise in irrigation systems, hardscape installations, landscape lighting, and plantings. The successful candidate will oversee on-site crews, coordinate with clients and vendors, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management and Supervision
- Supervise the field construction of commercial and residential landscape projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality specifications.
- Hire, train, manage, and lead construction crews of 3-6 people while embodying the company’s values of Respect, Integrity, Team, Customer Centricity, Expertise, Agility, and Grit.
- Irrigation and Hardscape Expertise
- Design, build, and layout multi-zone irrigation systems based on meter size, pressure, and flow (GPM).
- Oversee the installation of hardscapes, retaining walls, landscape lighting, and plantings.
- Scheduling and Coordination
- Develop and update project schedules, labor requirements, and material needs as projects progress.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Documentation and Budget Management
- Read and interpret project contracts, landscape plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Use a workflow management system to account for crew time, labor, and job costs.
- Review project budgets versus actual costs and collaborate with finance and operations leaders to address trends and corrective actions.
- Client and Vendor Communication
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and the community.
- Update stakeholders on project schedules, progress, and changes.
- Education and Experience
: - Proven experience in landscape construction project management, including irrigation and hardscape installations.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications.
- Skills and Competencies
: - Expertise in designing multi-zone irrigation systems and supervising landscape installations.
- Proficiency in workflow management systems for job costing and labor tracking.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage crews and coordinate with stakeholders
