Laser Production Technician (Starlink) - 2nd Shift

We are looking for talented technicians to help with the full-scale production of Starlink satellites. - Build small electrical sub-assemblies by following work instructions precisely to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform optic assembly processes, including epoxy application, UV curing, and oven curing.
- Fiber optic splicing and fiber routing.
- Operate complex automated equipment, including maintenance and some troubleshooting with Engineering guidance.
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated, track calibration schedules.
- Work effectively in a clean room environment, strictly adhering to all cleanliness protocols.
- Perform test setups as needed to support developments across several test regimes.
- Manage schedule priorities and independently execute work to meet company deliverables.
- High school degree or equivalency certificate.
- 1+ years of hands‑on work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in an electro‑mechanical manufacturing company, a precision manufacturing company, or a high‑volume manufacturing company.
- Able to proficiently use a PC, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience setting up and running tests and experiments.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists.
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: 2nd shift: 4:00 PM – 2:15 AM.
- Standing for long periods of time, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
Pay range:
- Level 1: $22.00 - $26.50/hour
- Level 2: $25.50 - $31.00/hour
- Level 3: $29.50 - $37.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long‑term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
