Production Manager
Job Summary
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a team to ensure production processes run smoothly, products meet quality standards, and safety measures are adhered to.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete AAON’s Production Leader Program.
- Lead a team of workers, including assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Motivate and mentor team members to maximize productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure production targets are met.
- Allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials to support the production plan.
- Monitor and enforce quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards.
- Investigate and address production and quality related issues as they arise.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed, and conduct safety training and audits.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and improved efficiency, and implement changes to enhance productivity.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with inventory control teams to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Generate regular reports on performance, including productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics.
- Provide regular updates to management on production status and challenges.
High School diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and production management software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification.
- Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
Regular lifting and moving of objects up to 50 lbs.; standing, bending, and repetitive tasks for extended periods; wearing proper personal protective equipment; exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects, and heavy forklift traffic.
This position is designated as a safety‑sensitive job and is subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
