Overview

Genie Industries/Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a segment of Terex Corporation, is headquartered in Redmond, WA. The company designs and manufactures material lifts, aerial work platforms, trailer‑mounted booms, light towers, telehandlers, scissor lifts, and self‑propelled telescopic and articulating booms. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily operations for the assigned area.
  • Train and monitor a small team of production workers.
  • Provide a safe work environment and enforce standard work procedures.
  • Maintain 5S levels, identify quality issues, and implement poka‑yoke solutions.
  • Respond to line stops, lost production, and other production interruptions.
  • Collect and maintain visual displays and production data.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RIP’s) and fill in for absent team members as needed.
  • Study daily production schedules and estimate hours and material requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders; communicate changes to the team.
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
  • Suggest changes to working conditions and equipment that improve workflow, efficiency, and safety.
  • Train new team members, teaching company philosophies and policies.
  • Maintain records of daily activity, time, materials, and process steps.
  • Set up or verify settings on production machines; inspect materials used in manufacturing.
  • Assemble equipment components, sub‑assemblies, and accessories as required.
  • Operate handheld and power‑assisted tools and production fixtures.
  • Enter and retrieve production information on computerized systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall objectives.
Qualifications
  • Full understanding of all assembly and sub‑assembly processes in the area of assignment.
  • Ability to organize a small work team, train new members, and examine work results.
  • Working knowledge of automated production machinery, hand tools, power tools, and fabricating equipment.
  • Human relations skills to conduct one‑on‑one training and maintain team harmony.
  • Problem‑solving skills for labor and material shortages, tool and equipment issues, while maintaining productivity.
  • Strong fabrication background and basic machine operator skills.
  • Understanding of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and basic machine technology/CNC (preferred).
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Technical ability and good understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Team orientation, strong verbal and written communication, and strong math skills.
  • Leadership and coaching experience.
  • Orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and commit to Lean Principles.
  • Effective implementation of change.
Pay Range

$28.48 / hour – $40.46 / hour
