SpaceX is hiring a Production Control Scheduler to support the Components Test (CTEST) team, ensuring timely delivery of test systems for the Starlink program in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Provide tactical scheduling support to keep critical test systems on schedule.
- Coordinate, maintain, communicate, and present critical‑path schedules and narratives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate schedule risks across departments to avoid delivery delays.
- Coordinate with suppliers, maintain schedules for outsourced equipment, and address blockers.
- Source and onboard new suppliers for harnessing, electrical panels, mechanical fabrication, and circuit boards.
- Prepare daily work schedules, track progress, update critical‑path schedules, and communicate adjustments.
- Execute purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
- Use ERP, MES, and MRP systems to coordinate test rack builds and inventory.
- Assist in root‑cause analysis, provide feedback to improve planning, and support streamlined processes.
- Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of manufacturing scheduling, planning, or operations experience, or 3+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience managing manufacturing of electrical components and systems (electrical panels, harnessing, circuit board fabrication, electrician prefabrication).
- Technical skills in MS Office Suite, VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, JIRA, Power BI.
- Strong ability to synthesize large amounts of information and present it clearly, verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement concepts.
- Familiarity with root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving methods.
- Awareness of NFPA, UL508A or similar standards.
- Must be able to travel less than 5% of the role.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to meet milestones.
Pay Range
:
Production Scheduler/Level I: $78,000 – $95,000 per year;
Production Scheduler/Level II: $90,000 – $115,000 per year (actual level and salary determined on a case‑by‑case basis).
