Job Description
The Electronics Assembler works under moderate supervision to perform precise mechanical, optical, and electrical assembly and testing operations. This role ensures that all products meet or exceed established quality and performance standards by following detailed work instructions, using specialized tools and equipment, and collaborating closely with the production team.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, optical, and electrical assembly operations in accordance with established company standards and work instructions.
- Conduct basic testing and inspection of parts and assemblies
- Assemble small electronic components, including work under a microscope when required, to produce high-quality assemblies.
- Follow detailed written work instructions in English
- Handle optical assemblies and lenses carefully to maintain cleanliness and optical performance during assembly and inspection.
- Apply knowledge of IPC and J-Standard guidelines, where applicable, to ensure assemblies meet industry standards.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 and related quality system requirements by following documented procedures and reporting any issues.
- Use ESD-safe practices and equipment, where applicable, to protect sensitive electronic components.
- Identify and communicate any defects, nonconformities
- Perform visual inspections
- Perform job duties while standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and using hands to finger, feel, and handle small parts and tools
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of small-part electronic assembly experience, preferably including soldering under a microscope.
- Ability to perform basic testing and inspection of electronic and mechanical assemblies to verify specifications.
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions in English.
- Experience with microscope-based assembly or inspection of small electronic components.
- Familiarity with optical assemblies and lenses in an assembly or inspection environment.
- Understanding of IPC and J-Standard guidelines for electronic assemblies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with optics and lenses is a plus.
- Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) control practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with ITAR-controlled products and environments is beneficial.
- Previous experience in a structured quality environment, such as ISO 9001, is advantageous.
- Comfort working under moderate supervision while following detailed procedures and documentation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
