JOB SUMMARYThe Production Test Technician should have basic mechanical/electrical knowledge and seek guidance from senior technicians as required. Duties include emphasis on 5S, safety, calibration, and quality, following set procedures and standard operational guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Occasionally perform the set‑up, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Test and troubleshoot less complex assemblies and/or final systems.
- Occasionally complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
- Occasionally prepare reports summarizing findings.
- Occasionally assist in the set‑up of specialized test equipment.
- Monitor and adjust production processes for quality and productivity.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
- Associate degree (AS) in Electronics Technology or related field/ equivalent electronics military schooling and experience required.
- High‑power electronics and/or high‑power avionics technician experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if total qualifying experience meets the required standards.
- Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position).
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Electrical/electronic knowledge
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Industrial control software – Control and data acquisition software (e.g., HiPot).
- Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components, using hand tools or a soldering iron.
- Manual dexterity
- Lifting heavy items (typically 40 lbs).
- Near vision
- Color and brightness differentiation – ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades and brightness.
- Exposure to high voltage
- Exposure to chemicals
- Exposure to LN2
- Moderate noise environment
- Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- Offer of employment is contingent on passing a pre‑employment background screen and drug test, including screening for the use of cannabis.
Salary is $24.52 – $36.79 per hour plus an additional $2 per hour as a 2nd shift differential. Salary is determined by experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
