Position Title
Production Test Technician - 2nd Shift
OverviewProtingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Production Test Technician on the 2nd shift with our client located in Redmond, WA. The Production Test Technician is responsible for following set procedures and standard operational guidelines to support production output and quality. In this role, you will apply basic mechanical and electrical knowledge while working alongside Senior Technicians to monitor, adjust, and test production processes.
A strong emphasis will be placed on 5S, workplace safety, calibration, and high‑quality standards to ensure top‑tier performance.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Test and troubleshoot less complex assemblies and/or final systems. Periodically assist in setting up specialized test equipment, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Rework & Adjustments: Monitor and adjust production processes for optimal quality and productivity. Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronic components using hand tools or a soldering iron.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions to properly assemble electronics units by applying electronic theory.
- Reporting: Periodically prepare reports summarizing testing findings and data.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, calibrated work environment by strictly adhering to 5S practices, especially when working around high voltage, chemicals, and liquid nitrogen (LN2).
- Experience: 1–2 years of direct, hands‑on experience showing familiarity with electronics production testing or assembly.
- Education: Associate's degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or related field) or equivalent electronics military schooling. High‑power electronics and/or high‑power avionics technician experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, circuit boards, processors, chips, computer hardware/software, and industrial control/data acquisition software (e.g., HiPot). Experience with manual soldering and hand tools is required. - Physical Abilities: Excellent manual dexterity, strong near vision, and the ability to differentiate colors, shades, and brightness. Comfortable lifting heavy items up to 40 lbs.
- Work Environment Comfort: Ability to work safely in a moderate noise environment with potential exposure to high voltage, chemicals, and LN2.

Redmond, WA - Salary Range: $24.52–$36.79 per hour
- Employment contingent on successfully passing a pre‑employment background screen and drug test, including screening for the use of cannabis.
