We are seeking a skilled Welding Specialist (MIG Welder) to perform welding operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires experience with MIG welding, steel welding, blueprint reading, weld quality inspection, and welding equipment setup. Team members operate within a lean manufacturing culture while meeting production cycle times, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities- Perform MIG welding operations on steel components and weldments.
- Load and unload parts into welding fixtures based on production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and welding symbols.
- Verify proper weld sizes, lengths, and locations according to specifications.
- Arrange and position parts using patterns and fixtures prior to welding.
- Inspect completed weldments and verify measurements against specifications.
- Set up, prepare, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Verify proper energy sources, welding supplies, and equipment readiness.
- Position and relocate equipment as needed to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and product specifications.
- Troubleshoot workstation-related issues impacting production, quality, or equipment performance.
- Follow safe work practices, quality requirements, and continuous improvement processes.
- Support additional production and manufacturing duties as assigned.
- Experience with MIG Welding (Gas Metal Arc Welding/GMAW).
- Experience welding steel components and weldments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Knowledge of welding setup, equipment operation, and weld verification.
- Ability to identify weld locations and perform standardized part layouts before welding.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of blueprint symbols and layouts.
- Knowledge of quality standards, safe work habits, and continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to resolve workstation, equipment, production, or quality-related issues.
- Ability to successfully pass a Welding Exam and Skills Test.
- Working knowledge of production processes and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships in a team-oriented environment.
- Manufacturing factory and warehouse environment.
- Work performed in designated welding cells.
- Requires standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to consistently perform physical work for up to 10-hour shifts.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.49 - $27.49/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
