Associate Hardware Lab Technician
The Hardware Technician will work closely with engineers to disassemble, modify, assemble, and validate devices. This role requires strong attention to detail, steady hands, and the ability to produce high-quality work on premium products. This position is for a special project building specialized laptops within a prototype center.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble laptops and electronic devices using hand tools.
- Install, replace, and rework hardware components.
- Perform functional checks and basic troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality inspections and document issues.
- Follow engineering instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- History of working on delicate assembly or building computers using hand tools for detailed work.
- Prior experience in a lab setting.
Technical Skills
- Skilled with small components and precision tools.
General Skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow technical documentation and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronics assembly, laptop repair, or hardware rework.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
