NP​/PA - Emergency Medicine; FTE - Fargo, ND

Job Overview

Medical staff on the 32nd Avenue campus Emergency Department (32ND HOSP) providing advanced primary care to patients of all ages.

• Conduct advanced health assessments and make clinical decisions independently and collaboratively with physicians.
• Provide health care emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and disease management for individuals and families.
• Care for patients ranging from newborn to elderly, including complex case mix (90‑100 ED patients per 24‑hour period).
• Work 12‑hour shifts, rotating days, evenings, weekends, with ability to exceed 80 hours per pay period for excess shift pay.
• Maintain high level of customer service and positive relationships with patients, co‑workers, and other stakeholders.

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Preference for Emergency Medicine background.
• Experience in emergency or acute care setting preferred.
• 0.9 FTE commitment.

• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state (if NP) and current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state.
• Current certification in CPR; additional training (BLS, ACLS, CALS, PALS, ATLS) as applicable.
• National certification in applicable area.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
• Essentia does not sponsor visa candidates.

• Competitive hourly range: $62.40 – $87.36.
