Nursing Assistant; NA - Float Team - Nights

Job Overview

Provide direct care to patients and serve patients’ needs in a manner that promotes safety and comfort under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, and/or Department Director (and where appropriate, guidance from an LPN). Duties vary by patient care unit but include maintaining a safe, clean environment and meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.

• Providing personal hygiene care
• Assisting with nutritional needs
• Providing comfort care and other assistance
• Safely transferring patients
• Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
• Recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment that promotes healing

36 hours per week on a permanent night shift: 11pm–7am and 7pm–7am.

Work every other weekend and holiday.

Shift rotation consists of a mix of 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts.

There is no call obligation. The role is unioned. Remote or hybrid options are not available.

• Hourly compensation range: $17.63 – $26.45
• Hiring incentive up to $1,500 for qualified candidates

• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
• Non‑certified Nursing Assistants must register as a Nurse Assistant through the North Dakota Department of Health within 3 months of employment
