Quality Specialist, Leo

Amazon Leo Quality team is driven to develop a Quality System that is capable of scaling aerospace quality to volume and cost levels to meet end customer needs. This position will join the team at an exciting moment, with an opportunity to own quality system development and contribute to the design of requirements, processes, and systems used across the business.

• Perform daily defect resolution as the Quality member.
• Investigate Production System issues to reduce defect rates and drive root cause corrective actions.
• Implement the Leo Quality System through process development and launch mechanisms.
• Partner with cross-functional groups to develop and qualify internal production processes, including Quality Assurance processes.
• Conduct rigorous Continuous Improvement activities to prevent recurrence of non-conformance during assembly.
• Perform audit activities to ensure compliance to QMS requirements.
• Manage the MRB process at production floor and review non-conformances for disposition.
• Perform root cause analysis to reduce NC.
• Lead the work instruction (SOP) for quality inspection team.
• Perform In-Process and Outgoing Quality Inspection for assembly process.
• Drive inspection improvement processes and work toward industry 4.0 standards for automated inspection systems such as vision and sensor-based systems.
• Lead problem solving using tools such as Lean Six Sigma, 8D, A3, Ishikawa diagram, cause-and-effect diagram, and Design of Experiments.
• Review NC trends and coordinate containment actions; oversee rework and salvage processes; perform measurements in quality labs (e.g., CMM, Romer Arm, Optical Vision System, OMM, Height Gage, and other gages).
• Work with Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection teams and provide support as needed for both functions.

DAY Shift Timing:
Wed-Sat 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM;
Sun-Wed 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Inspection, NC approval process, MRB management
• 3+ years of experience in using Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PIVOT and advanced Excel
• Problem solving experience such as 8D, A3 and Six Sigma

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Basic understanding of SQL/Python
• Lean Six Sigma - Yellow or Green Belt

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
