Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Technician responsible for laboratory operations, working directly with engineering teams on the assembly, integration, and testing of optical inter-satellite link systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in opto‑mechanical systems and the ability to develop and document technical procedures.

• Perform assembly, integration (including fiber splicing), and testing of optical communication systems.
• Work closely with engineering teams to support product development and testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Build and test first article units.
• Support laboratory operations and maintain test equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
• Execute test procedures and record results with high attention to detail.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution.

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Photonics, or related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in optical systems or related technical field
• Experience with laboratory equipment and testing procedures
• Proficiency in technical documentation and procedure writing
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field
• Experience with optical communication systems
• Knowledge of clean room protocols
• Familiarity with laser safety procedures
• Experience with precision alignment of optical components
• Background in aerospace or satellite communications

This is a Contract position based out of REDMOND, WA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
