We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to play a key role in assembling, calibrating, testing, and evaluating KMSA products while also supporting Quality Assurance activities such as RMA oversight, diagnostics, documentation, and process improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute across the full product lifecycle, from production and calibration through troubleshooting, quality evaluation, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset. Success in this role requires the ability to balance hands‑on product work with analytical Quality Assurance responsibilities while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced technical environment.

This position is 100 percent onsite and requires daily presence at KMSA’s Redmond headquarters to support production, diagnostics, calibration, and lab‑based activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inspect returned units, diagnose issues, and prepare instructions for repair, maintenance, or recalibration.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and calibration of returned products.
  • Operate and maintain lab equipment, instruments, and cleanroom work spaces per established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records, workflow documentation, and quality logs.
  • Follow all safety, quality, ESD control, and cleanroom gowning/material handling protocols.
  • Participate in or lead team meetings to provide updates and close action items.
  • Support field action documentation and cross‑functional coordination as needed.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Technical Support, Production, and Purchasing.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to production, diagnostic, and QA processes.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional training, workflow improvements, and system implementations.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; A.S. in Electronics or technical certification preferred.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in manufacturing, cleanroom assembly, electromechanical systems, or QA diagnostics.
  • Basic understanding of electronics, schematics, and diagnostic troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to break down complex issues into actionable pieces.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
  • Familiarity with ISO requirements, CRM systems, and internal test software preferred.
