Overview
WSP is seeking an Associate Geologist with 1 to 3 years of consulting experience to join our Pacific Northwest Site Investigation & Remediation Team in Redmond, WA. The role focuses on environmental remediation and related services for industrial, commercial, and government clients.
Responsibilities- Perform fieldwork and data evaluation for soil, soil vapor/gas, groundwater, surface water, and stormwater investigations
- Develop technical reports, plans, and calculations under guidance of senior reviewers
- Support site remediation planning, chemical fate and transport assessment, hazardous waste management, permitting, and site planning
- Document solutions and communicate findings through technical writing and verbal presentations
- Participate in multidisciplinary project teams, managing multiple tasks within project deadlines
- Adhere to federal, Oregon, and Washington regulations and WSP’s Code of Conduct
- B.S. or higher in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related discipline
- Minimum 1 year post‑education environmental consulting experience
- Experience supporting sampling, drilling oversight, site assessment, remediation, and/or compliance projects
- Proficiency in preparing tables, figures, boring logs, and technical summaries for reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately within deadlines
- Effective organizational skills and ability to work independently in field and office environments
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of workplace safety policies and ability to comply with WSP’s health, safety, and anti‑harassment policies
- Exposure to Oregon and/or Washington environmental regulatory programs
- Geologist‑in‑Training professional registration in Washington (if a Geologist/Hydrogeologist is preferred)
- Master’s Degree
- 40‑hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) preferred
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired

Expected salary (all locations): $80,169 – $94,000. Compensation range is based on education, experience, and geographic location.
