As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist shoppers and tenants with directions and service-minded communication, document observations using site technology, and report concerns to leadership.

- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail or mall setting.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and observe foot traffic for unusual behavior, requesting assistance from site management and/or public responders as needed to address concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including gathering details, de-escalating disputes when appropriate, and coordinating with on-site personnel.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation in accordance with Allied Universal requirements and site procedures.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
