We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial trucks and heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with strong diagnostic abilities who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship and works independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service equipment in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial trucks and heavy equipment
  • Prioritize repairs based on safety concerns and operational needs
  • Repair and maintain diesel engines, air brake systems, and electrical systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
  • Road test vehicles as needed to ensure proper functionality
  • Inspect brake systems, steering components, and wheel bearings
  • Operate hand and power tools including diagnostic and welding equipment
  • Maintain repair documentation and communicate with management
  • Assist with parts inventory and organization
  • Follow safety procedures and report incidents
  • Attend safety meetings
Qualifications
  • Experience in diesel engine repair and fleet maintenance
  • Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, HVAC systems, and aftertreatment diagnostics
  • Knowledge of transmissions, differentials, and brake systems
  • Ability to work independently
  • Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
  • CDL
