Title: Software Development Engineer (Test Systems)

Location: Redmond, WA

Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Compensation: $65.00 - 70.00/hr.

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

This role supports the revival and modernization of a critical antenna test system used to validate a third‑party antenna integrated into an existing platform. You'll be part of a tight‑knit test and operations team responsible for bringing legacy systems back online, enabling reliable field testing, and ensuring high‑quality test data feeds directly into engineering decisions.

In this role, you will act as the dedicated SDE supporting antenna testing efforts, splitting time evenly between software development and hands‑on test execution.

• Own and maintain legacy and historical test software, primarily written in C++ and Python, running on Linux‑based systems
• Bring an existing, outdated antenna test system back online by learning legacy hardware, software, and test workflows
• Integrate and validate a third‑party test antenna within the existing system architecture
• Partner closely with operations field technicians, including traveling in a test van to execute field tests when required
• Support antenna testing in the field depending on test phase and requirements
• Develop, update, and debug test scripts, automation, and data collection tools
• Analyze test results and provide clear feedback to engineering stakeholders
• Participate in overlapping field trips and collaborate cross‑functionally to complete test objectives

Willingness to travel 10‑15%, to Austin, TX for field testing and system bring‑up activities.

• Strong experience with C++ and Python in a Linux environment
• Experience supporting or modernizing legacy or outdated systems
• Background in antenna testing, RF testing, or working closely with antenna/test engineers
• Comfort working in a hybrid role that includes both software development and hands‑on field testing

• Prior experience as an Antenna Test Engineer or similar test‑focused role
• Familiarity with RF test equipment and antenna validation workflows
• Experience working with third‑party hardware integrations
• Comfort working in mobile or non‑traditional test environments (e.g., test vans, field setups)
