Embedded Software Development Engineer

Key job responsibilities:

We're seeking a Software Development Engineer with strong experience in embedded software development to support RF validation efforts for a specialized hardware platform used in lab environments. This role centers on maintaining and enhancing the embedded software running on this device, automating processes, and developing new features.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance embedded software for a proprietary RF validation device.
• Write and optimize automation scripts using Python and C/C++
• Collaborate with systems engineers to test and integrate device functionality into broader lab test systems.
• Maintain and update the firmware that controls the hardware platform.
• Support and improve an internal tool used by team members, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to the development of new features and improvements based on evolving validation needs.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable industry experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional experience
• Must have experience working with UDP/TCP remote desktop systems
• Proven experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
• Experience working with embedded systems in consumer device environments.
• Ability to maintain and improve internal development tools in a collaborative team setting.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for embedded hardware/software systems.

• Experience with RF systems or embedded RF development.
• Familiarity with National Instruments (NI) hardware or software.
• Exposure to AWS or cloud-based infrastructure.
