Innovation AI Developer II positions are responsible for independently designing, developing, and deploying AI‑powered software solutions that address customer use cases in industrial production environments. They own end‑to‑end delivery of features and prototypes, from requirements through deployment to edge devices and embedded systems. This role bridges software engineering and AI/ML, building robust applications that integrate computer vision, NLP, and predictive analytics.
AI Developer IIs drive operational efficiency by developing AI agents and leveraging out‑of‑the‑box AI tools for internal automation.
- Design and develop end‑to‑end AI‑powered software applications for industrial use cases
- Build and deploy AI models to edge devices, embedded systems, and offline environments
- Own the full software development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment
- Develop internal AI agents and automation tools to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Optimize model performance for production: inference latency, memory footprint, accuracy
- Set up and maintain customer demonstrations using IPCs, HMIs, cameras, sensors, PLCs
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies and out‑of‑the‑box tools for team productivity

This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly utilizes workplace technology, including computers, smartphones, multifunction printers, cloud‑based filing systems, and collaboration tools.
Physical DemandsThis role requires physical capabilities that support the successful execution of key responsibilities. The employee regularly engages in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients to address project‑related inquiries and must be able to convey accurate information clearly and efficiently. The position involves remaining seated at a workstation for approximately 75% of the time, with occasional movement throughout the office to access equipment, supplies, and shared resources.
Daily tasks include consistent use of computers and standard office technology such as keyboards, printers, and multifunction devices. The role also involves transporting equipment boxes weighing up to 25 pounds within the building and to other off‑site locations as needed for project support.
- Bachelor’s required. Master’s preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in AI development or software engineering with demonstrated project ownership
- Proficient in Python; experience with C++, Java, Go, or Rust
- Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns, clean code
- Experience with API development (FastAPI, Flask), Git, CI/CD, Docker
- Deep expertise in PyTorch or Tensor Flow
- Strong computer vision and/or NLP understanding
- Experience with LLMs, VLMs, and agentic AI frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph)
- Experience deploying to edge devices (NVIDIA Jetson, industrial IPCs)
- Model optimization: quantization, pruning, ONNX/TensorRT
- Proficient with AI‑assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor)
- Experience building internal automation agents
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or industrial automation
- Track record of shipping production AI systems
