Description of Duties- Design and develop software for communication protocols.
- Develop new software features and maintain existing software in C and Modern C++.
- Drive architecture design and software implementation.
- Create technical specifications, design documentation, and test plans.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other engineers.
- 2-6 years’ experience as a software development engineer.
- Strong C and Modern C++ programming and debugging skills.
- Experience using Git in software development.
- Experience in embedded programming systems, RTOS, and multi-threaded systems.
- Knowledge and experience with software development in Linux environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, and QUIC is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of network programming in C, C++, Rust, or Go.
- Knowledge of real-time communication protocols such as WebRTC and MoQT, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of wireless standards such as 5G, LTE, Bluetooth, and WiFi, is desirable.
- Ability to drive difficult issues to successful completion.
- Effective interpersonal, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Diligent, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative and handle assignments with minimal supervision.
- Able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Professional experience developing Modern C++ (C++14, C++17, C++20) software for communication protocols.
- Professional experience developing low-level and network programming software.
- Professional experience developing with embedded and multi-threaded systems.
This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This contract position includes the base pay range listed below and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits include eligibility for medical insurance, employee assistance program, and paid sick leave. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms.
