X is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Starlink Growth. Space

X is developing technologies to enable human life on Mars and to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and provides fast, reliable internet to millions of users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – satellites, consumer receivers, and the software that brings it all together.

We are looking for engineers to maximize Starlink’s utility for communities and businesses across the globe.

• Design, develop, and continuously improve software solutions to support Starlink customer success and business operations
• Develop well-architected, responsive, and performant web applications
• Develop highly reliable and available software systems for Starlink
• Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant networks that operate for long periods with minimal maintenance at scale
• Craft aesthetically and functionally flawless user experiences
• Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Deep dive into users’ problems to find and create efficient solutions

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline; OR 5+ years of professional experience building full-stack software in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering

• Experience with object-oriented language
• Experience with relational databases
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment both independently and with a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of HTTP requests, API structures (REST), and HTTP authentication techniques
• Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts
• Professional experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and CI/CD tools

• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Must be able to travel to other Space

Pay range:
Sr. Software Engineer: $ - $ per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is part of your total rewards package  may also be eligible for incentives including stock, discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase stock through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
