Job Summary

This role is part of the IT:
Consumer Online & Publishing department at Nintendo of America (NOA) and acts as the direct contributor and key technology driver with a focus on the efforts and technologies that make up the global NOA product publishing pipeline (aka 3PT, Nintendo Developer Portal). The senior‑level position will directly contribute to the sustainment and enhancement of the 3PT application portfolio, will help ensure technical design integrity across efforts, collaborate on application architectural approaches and ensure the veracity of software delivery estimates.

This position will collaborate extensively with hosting teams, QA teams, project management & NCL to define & improve the product.

Description of Duties
  • Develop and modify core application and development features of our global publishing pipeline, addressing functional, performance, security, quality, operations, and monitoring needs.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Document all changes through appropriate change control, writing technical documentation such as API documentation and runbooks.
  • Maintain existing global publishing pipeline by adding/updating features, addressing live‑site issues, improving reliability, etc.
  • Understand our business requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
  • Participate in architecting and designing innovative solutions.
  • Work with multiple teams, providing a large impact across the entire organization.
  • Mentor more junior colleagues, potentially providing instruction (e.g., functioning as a team lead).
  • Work with infrastructure as code (IaC) to deploy our cloud (AWS) services.
  • Maintain legacy systems to keep our core business running.
  • Provide constructive feedback of peers’ deliverables.
Summary of Requirements
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience with software development technologies, patterns, and practices.
  • Broad understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Post‑graduate coursework preferred.
  • Experience with container tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle, and non‑relational databases such as Mongo

  • Experience with infrastructure as code such as AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or Terraform.
  • Experience and confidence with working within a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using tools such as Bitbucket, Git Hub, Artifactory, Team City, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with frameworks and libraries such as Spring, React a plus.
  • Experience with multiple programming languages (Java, Type Script, Python) preferred.
  • Background in secure application development and/or partnering with security teams during application development process preferred.
  • Full‑stack development experience a plus but not required.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi‑annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Pay Range

$145,150—$261,200 USD
