Project LEO is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Infrastructure for Over the Air (IOTA) team owns the software delivery to all Kuiper assets, such as satellites and ground stations, and their configurations.
Responsibilities- Support a suite of software applications and services to update software on a constellation of satellites on the ground and in orbit.
- Perform high‑impact production operations and issue triaging, coordinating with Development, Product and Support teams.
- Provide space operations support with OTA procedures, troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues.
- Develop tools, automation and monitoring solutions.
- Perform software maintenance and configuration, implement fixes for internally developed code (Python/Go).
- Track and resolve technical challenges, improving operational excellence and readiness of the systems.
- Root cause and triage issues; execute procedures to update software on satellites during manufacturing, ground labs and in orbit, covering multiple products, features and services.
- 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes.
- Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure.
- 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands‑on systems engineering.

Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is – USD annually (USA, WA, Redmond). This package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
