Azure Cosmos DB is Microsoft's next generation of globally distributed, massively scalable, multi-model cloud database service. It is designed to enable developers to build planet-scale applications.

The database provides the data backbone of many critical systems in Health Care, Retail, Telecommunications, IoT, etc. where the Service Availability and Latency is paramount. Cosmos DB provides financially backed SLA (service level agreements) around 99.99 Availability and < 10 MS Latency, and we take pride in running service  a foundational Azure service, the Cosmos DB service has a footprint that spans every Azure region.

The team prides itself on building innovative reliable solutions in the core data plane path to support and balance customer dynamic growth across regions and clouds. We are looking for Software Engineers who are passionate about cloud databases and who like taking data driven decisions and building innovative solutions to support business growth. You will be responsible for building and optimizing solutions to build Cosmos DB services  will collaborate with engineers on the team and across services in Azure to architect, design and implement reliable, low-latency solutions for building Cosmos DB services.

You will work across the stack to convert vision into a high quality, shipped feature. ** Responsibilities** + Design, develop and maintain high-scale services that form the backbone of Cosmos DB. + Dive deep into Azure technologies and distributed database systems. + Collaborate with partners, internal and external to Azure Cosmos DB organization, to design and build features that drive service growth. + Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
