Overview
Amazon Leo (previously known as Project Kuiper) is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide.
Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities- Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems and data pipelines.
- Work with multiple cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate the infrastructure you build.
- Develop and mentor junior and new team members.
- Engineer and build a cloud service that is reliable and available to provide connectivity for our customers.
- Work on features that enhance the quality of service and security for our customers.
- Collaborate and work on initiatives across multiple teams to build networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure and set best practices for software development processes.
You will work with management and technical leaders to deliver design and implementation. Your day begins with a stand‑up meeting where your team provides updates on current GRC tool development and automation projects. You'll spend time reviewing architecture proposals for new features or design a new AI agent to handle compliance requirements such as evidence collection and then meet with team members to understand their specific workflows and needs.
In the afternoon, you might analyze compliance datasets to identify improvement opportunities, collaborate with partner teams on integration points, and provide engineering to team members on complex security challenges.
- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.

Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: 143, USD annually.
