Software Development Engineer II, AWS Serverless Storage

Overview

The AWS Serverless Storage team is seeking an exceptional software engineer to develop a distributed in‑memory data store for high‑throughput, high‑volume data processing in big data analytics and AI workloads.

• Design and implement a large‑data, high‑performance distributed data storage system.
• Develop services on EC2/ECS/Kubernetes.
• Develop system‑level software using Rust and Java.
• Build scalable infrastructure on AWS cloud platforms.
• Integrate advanced data solutions with AI and big data technologies.
• Collaborate with Spark and other big data ecosystem technologies.
• Create high‑performance, distributed computing architectures.
• Deliver systems and features with top‑notch quality, on time.
• Own the end‑to‑end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
