Position: Senior PMT-ES, Amazon Aurora (AWS)

Amazon Aurora is a MySQL and PostgreSQL‑compatible relational database engine that combines the speed and availability of high‑end commercial databases with the simplicity and cost‑effectiveness of open‑source databases.

As a Product Manager on the Amazon Aurora team, you will focus on defining seamless user experiences across the Aurora stack, from the getting‑started journey to query execution and new generative‑AI–driven features. Your role will involve championing customer needs, prioritizing roadmap features, and crafting detailed business requirements with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define product requirements and drive alignment across customers, partners, software vendors, and operational teams.
  • Prioritize roadmap features and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through business‑requirement documents.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve challenging technical problems at all layers of the stack.
  • Design, test, deploy and maintain high‑quality, highly available, always‑on product experiences.
  • Build metrics, implement automation, and improve software defect resolution to enhance performance, durability, cost, and security.
  • Communicate design decisions, conduct code reviews, and work with internal and external stakeholders in a startup‑like environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product management experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, IT, or related fields.
  • Experience delivering large‑scale SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS products through the full product lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in an advanced technology discipline or 10+ years of experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, No

    SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Experience with database, data warehouse, or data lake solutions and external customer interaction.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, technical, regulatory, and business teams.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional or military experience after completing an undergraduate program.
