Crowd Strike is seeking an Engineer III for our Policy Management team.
The role will build cloud‑side software and user interfaces that deliver configuration and settings to the Falcon endpoint agent, enabling rapid distribution of customer‑manageable options to millions of endpoints.
- Build and evolve cloud‑based systems to flawlessly manage and distribute configuration information to a fleet of millions of endpoints, collaborating with cloud, front‑end, and endpoint developers.
- Brainstorm, design, and build solutions in collaboration with members across multiple teams, using AI extensively to accelerate processes.
- Write elegant and performant solutions for complex technical problems in Go (and sometimes Python).
- Read and critique code in Go, Python, Unix shell, Type Script, C++, and other languages used in our environment, and provide technical guidance to teammates.
- Focus on continual learning and raising the bar for both yourself and your teammates through best practices in testing, code review, logging, and resilient architecture.
- Take ownership of deliverables as an energetic self‑starter, be accountable individually and when leading a team, and deliver and accept feedback with grace.
- Collaborate on root‑cause analysis of production outages and add quality improvements to prevent future incidents. Travel may be required for in‑person meetings.
- Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status).
- A computer science background or equivalent experience in programming styles, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- 3+ years of experience building and scaling back‑end systems in production.
- Strong collaboration and team‑player skills.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
- Experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and/or similar technologies.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure) and Linux containers.
- Sense of humor and humility.
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision‑making, streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
- Prior experience managing configuration automation for large endpoint fleets (e.g., Microsoft Configuration Manager, JAMFPro, ChromeOS device management).
- Experience building, operating, and scaling low‑latency internet services.
- Solid grounding in the technology of at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to or experience with cybersecurity and intelligence.
