Location : WASHINGTON,REDMOND
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior / Staff Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) with strong software engineering, AI/GenAI, data, and enterprise customer-facing experience.
Ex-Microsoft consultants’ / Microsoft alumni are strongly preferred.
What You’ll Do- Embed with internal teams and enterprise customers to understand workflows, pain points, and business goals—and design solutions that fit.
- Build and deploy production-quality code, integrations, and automations across AI/GenAI, data, and software platforms.
- Develop rapid prototypes and POCs, iterate based on user feedback, and move successful solutions into reliable, scalable production.
- Integrate data pipelines, APIs, and third-party systems across complex enterprise environments.
- Work directly with end users and senior stakeholders—running demos, gathering requirements, troubleshooting, and translating technical concepts into business value.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify recurring customer pain points and influence the product roadmap.
- Monitor and continuously improve reliability, performance, and adoption after deployment.
- Establish FDE playbooks, standards, and tooling while mentoring junior engineers.
- 8+ years of production software engineering experience
- Strong system design, full-stack development, and API expertise
- Experience with SQL, data pipelines, Snowflake, Databricks and/or AI/GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI
- Strong customer-facing / forward-deployed engineering experience
- Experience owning complex projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills—able to translate technical solutions into business value
- Strong bias toward action, rapid prototyping, and delivering production-ready solutions
- CI/CD and containerization
- Experience building a new team/function from the ground up
- Telecommunications or large-scale enterprise data experience
