Position: Supply Chain Planner 2

Team Purpose & Key Projects

  • Purpose of the Team:
    The team manages infrastructure logistics for data centers, ensuring that all power and cooling materials are delivered effectively to support global data center operations.
  • Key Projects:
    Contribute to operational logistics planning, warehousing coordination, transportation planning, documentation support, and ensuring on‑time delivery across North and South America.
Candidate Requirements
  • Best vs. Average (2-4 years):
    The ideal candidate will have logistics experience, preferably in high‑tech or data center environments, strong organizational skills, ability to self‑manage, track multiple shipments, identify risks, and manage global freight workflows.
  • Required Candidate Preparation:
    Candidates should be prepared with clear, specific examples demonstrating their experience in international shipping, trade documentation, shipment tracking, WMS/TMS usage, 3PL coordination, and operational logistics execution.
Summary

The main function is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules. Responsibilities include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, costs, etc.

Job Responsibilities
  • Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements and material priorities.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Word and Excel.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2‑4 years of related experience required.

Typical Day in the Role
  • Morning:
    Reviewing Signals & Operational Health
    • Review dashboards for inventory levels, shipment statuses, exceptions, and forecast variances.
    • Validate overnight moves: inbound receipts, outbound shipments, carrier updates, 3PL activity logs.
    • Examine exceptions, such as delayed shipments, low inventory thresholds, or failed system transactions.
    • Check automated inventory counts and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Mid Morning:
    Execution & Issue Resolution
    • Resolve exceptions in transportation or warehouse operations by working with 3PLs, carriers, or internal site teams.
    • Track order status, identify blockers, and drive corrective actions to maintain SLA timelines.
    • Run operational reports and distribute them to stakeholders.
    • Support inventory planning and distribution for data center spare parts or program‑specific equipment.
  • Midday:
    Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Check‑in meetings with warehouse teams, transportation coordinators, or 3PL partners.
