Truss Crane Operator – Pay: $32.74 - $36.99
•
Location:
Redmond, OR
- Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from the commercial motor vehicle.
- Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads.
- Plan and optimize routes for delivery efficiency.
- Follow delivery procedures, including taking photos of delivered shipment after completion.
- Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during the course of work.
- Keep the truck supplied, organized, and clean.
- Check load for accuracy and proactively manage job site conditions for the next delivery.
- Communicate with other team members and perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of all equipment.
- Perform required safety audits of the vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections, crane inspections).
- Report promptly any malfunctioning equipment or accidents/incidents as required by federal and state regulations.
- Write legibly on all materials and maintain proper documentation.
- Annually update driver’s qualification file, provide required paperwork, and scan for dispatch.
- Ensure that all material transported on the truck has a delivery packet—truss layout, truss engineering, and delivery ticket.
- Provide feedback related to customers, job sites, and issues.
- Read and follow delivery instructions, contact customers before the next delivery, and establish good relationships with sales team.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Assist team members with work when appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Class A CDL required with air‑brake endorsement.
- Current NCCCO certification.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to speak, write, and read English.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reporting requirements.
- Ability to manage time and routes for streamlined delivery.
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications.
- Driving experience within a 50‑mile radius of the primary location preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and walk.
- 2 weeks of vacation per year starting Day 1; an additional day for each year worked up to 4 weeks.
