Techi is responsible for advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and proactive maintenance of fleet vehicles. Working closely with fellow technicians and Operations, this role ensures vehicle reliability through accurate scheduling, field repairs, and timely change-outs. Minimizing service disruptions and supporting safe, efficient transportation for staff and clients.
This is a part‑time, 20‑hour a week role.
Compensation- ATech $40.00–$50.00/Hour with a $7,500 sign‑on bonus
- B Tech $30.00–$40.00/Hour with a $7,500 sign‑on bonus
- C Tech $25.00–$35.00/Hour with a $7,500 sign‑on bonus

- Regularly inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, exhaust condition, and operational safety; ensure maintenance of the highest level, including physical appearance.
- Repair vehicle transmission, brakes, engines, and other associated parts.
- Address immediate fleet concerns and maintain fleet maintenance records: review driver defect reports daily, review PMs and troubleshoot/resolve issues to reduce the number of road calls and ensure a prominent level of safety within all operations.
- Track daily vehicle reports, labor hours, maintenance, and repair records to ensure all maintenance files are accurate and current.
- Conduct field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown, make appropriate arrangements to have an inoperable vehicle or equipment repaired or towed.
- Supports the IT team in the management of on‑board shuttle technology such as Wi‑Fi devices, telematics systems, and vehicle tablets to ensure the systems are functional and installed accordingly.
- Prepare work plans after fully scoping out the issue.
- Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.
- Run diagnostic tests on diesel and gas engines and interpret the results to offer suitable solutions.
- Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be 21+ years old
- 3+ years of vehicle maintenance experience (transit buses or motor coaches preferred)
- Experience using diagnostic tools (e.g., Cummins Insite, Quick Serve, All Data, WABCO, Bendix)
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Current DOT Medical Card or able to obtain one
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT drug test
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Flexible schedule, including occasional overtime
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Employment contingent on background check
- Electric vehicle experience is a plus
- ASE Certifications (Medium/Heavy Truck or School/Transit Bus)
- Powertrain Certification
- EPA 609 HVAC Certification
- CDL (Class A or
B) with Passenger endorsement - CDL training available for qualified candidates
