Kitting Specialist

This role focuses on kitting within the Stores department, ensuring that materials are accurately picked, organized, and prepared to support efficient shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform kitting activities in the Stores department by gathering, organizing, and assembling materials according to work orders and specifications.
• Handle material control and material management tasks, ensuring accurate stocking, labeling, and tracking of inventory.
• Pick orders accurately and efficiently to support production, shipping, and customer requirements.
• Support shipping and receiving operations, including domestic and international shipments.
• Prepare packages for shipment using carriers such as Fed Ex and UPS, following proper packaging, labeling, and documentation procedures.
• Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and condition, and stock items in the appropriate warehouse locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and kitting area.
• Operate a hand truck and forklift to move, load, and unload materials as needed.
• Use basic computer systems to record transactions, update inventory, and access shipping or order information.
• Follow all warehouse procedures and safety guidelines while handling materials and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of material stocking techniques.
• Experience with material control and material management in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with shipping and receiving, including international shipping.
• Hands-on experience with Fed Ex and UPS shipping processes.
• Order picking experience in a warehouse or stores environment.
• Ability to operate a hand truck safely.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Basic computer skills for inventory, shipping, and documentation tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in warehouse kitting or stores operations.
• Familiarity with warehouse best practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate kitting, picking, and shipping.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a warehouse environment, with daily activities centered around material handling, kitting, and shipping operations. The role requires up to seven (7) hours of standing at a time and the ability to lift 10–20 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds occasionally. Team members use equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts and rely on basic computer systems to perform their tasks.

The setting emphasizes safe material handling, adherence to procedures, and efficient movement of goods throughout the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redmond, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.45/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
