The Redondo Beach Unified School District Child Development Center (CDC) is seeking enthusiastic future educators to join our team as Child Development Teacher Interns.

In this unique role, you will serve as the classroom teacher for a TK–3rd grade after-school program while receiving ongoing coaching and support from an experienced CDC Mentor Teacher.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage your own after school TK–3rd grade classroom in a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
  • Plan and facilitate enriching activities including art, STEM, outdoor recreation, homework support, and social-emotional learning.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Receive mentorship and professional coaching from an experienced CDC Mentor Teacher to strengthen your instructional practice and leadership skills.

Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following:

  • A valid California Child Development Teacher Permit;
  • A California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential; or
  • Be actively enrolled in a Child Development or Teacher Preparation Program and eligible to obtain a California Child Development Teacher Permit.
