Job Title and Location
Northrop Grumman's Space Sector seeks a Linux Systems Architect – Level 3/4 – to work on ground infrastructure requirements and automation techniques. Position located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Relocation, Clearance, and TravelRelocation assistance may be available.

As a Linux Systems Architect, your duties will include reviewing, understanding and designing automation techniques to address a wide range of infrastructure requirements; understanding of automation for both Infrastructure as Code and cyber hardening/patching; working closely with software and systems engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood and blockers are elevated.
Basic Qualifications- Linux Systems Architect – Level 3: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Linux Systems Architect – Level 4: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Active SCI/CI Poly required at the time of application
- Current Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification
- Extensive experience with Linux Operating System
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Classified Linux environments
- Experience operating and managing systems within current applicable information systems cyber compliance standards in closed areas
- Demonstrated experience in technical judgment
- Experience with Linux functions in yum, ldap, ansible (IAC tools), stig implementation, SELinux, kickstart, dns, dhcp, firewalld, log analysis, managing logical volumes, pki, git, RBAC/HBAC
- Experience working as part of an Agile development environment
- Understanding information technologies, as well as strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze high level needs utilizing use cases and relate them to requirements
- Experience with VMWare implementation, migration, and maintenance
