Experimental Machinist Security Clearance

Position: Experimental Machinist 2 with Security Clearance
Experimental Machinist 2 - Redondo Beach, CA 12 month contract, to $40/hr BOE Position is for an aerospace/defense client. United States citizenship and the ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Secret security clearance are required. Preference given to candidates who already have DoD clearance. Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred. TELECOMMUTE:

WORK SHIFT:

First Shift. 5:00 AM to 2:42 PM M-Th. 5:00 am to 1:42 PM on working Fridays. (80 hours in a two week period) TRAVEL:
No Aerospace/defense client is seeking an experimental machinist to operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines and write machine programs using MASTERCAM. Must have conventional machining skill and ability to read engineering drawings and follow process and specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED and minimum 5 years of CNC programming/machining experience.
• Must have strong knowledge of Mastercam to program 3 and 5-axis parts.
• Prior Experience operating Haas CNC machines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and meet the approval process for individual SAR program access.
• Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 or more years of related CNC machining experience.
• Experience with Mazak CNC machines.
• Ability to operate EDM and Plunge/Sinker machines.
