Position: 1314-Occupational Nurse 3

Position Title

Occupational Nurse 3 – 1314

Location:

Redondo Beach, CA

Duration: 1‑year contract - onsite position

Pay: $65+DOE per hour (W2)

Position Requirements

This position requires a clear background check, drug testing, and education verification. Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship. (Principal only; no Corp‑to‑Corp)

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational health nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer a work‑related or non‑work‑related injury.
  • Perform case management for work‑related and non‑work‑related injuries and illnesses, collaborating with Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Attend subsequent dressings of injuries; maintain records of persons treated; administer company policy in regards to a drug‑free workplace, coordinating drug/alcohol testing (post incident and for cause); administer required immunizations and vaccinations; assist with OSHA‑required medical surveillance exams (audiometric, respiratory, vision and urine collection).
  • Screen employees for return‑to‑work clearance in collaboration with the leave‑of‑absence desk.
  • Prepare reports and assist with development of medical procedures and/or protocols.
  • Support Corporate Health & Wellness Programs (blood drives, health fair and flu shots).
  • Provide health education information; dispense standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets; refer contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employee’s physician and may assist company doctor; ensure medical equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized and ready for use at all times.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Current AED and CPR certifications.
  • Registered nurse with the State Board of Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Registered nurse with 5 years of nursing experience.
  • Certified in audio and spirometer testing.
  • Experience with Cal/Osha reporting and assessment standards.
  • Occupational health nursing experience.
