We are a publicly-traded leader in entertainment industry systems and consulting, working with top movie studios and theatre circuits to create a new generation of technical solutions and services that will maximize efficiency, drive unprecedented revenue opportunities and aid the transition from film to digital.
We have an immediate opening for a development lead to assist in the development of new and existing software products.
This individual should have a strong technical background as well as the ability to organize and lead a team within a fast paced development environment.
Job DescriptionMain Job Responsibilities
- Completing development tasks, including any necessary debugging or unit testing.
- Enforcing existing development procedures and coding standards.
- Completing code reviews.
- Breakdown and estimation of development tasks as necessary within the product life cycle.
- Understanding how each task relates to the overall product and the business in general.
- Work to complete assigned R&D assignments.
- Participate in software support as necessary.
- Participate in fine tuning development processes and procedures.
Minimum Education al Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and leadership qualities.
- Expert knowledge of Visual Basic 6, including creation of custom controls.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server from 2005 or later, with strong SQL coding skills and knowledge of stored procedures, triggers and functions.
- Strong knowledge of Crystal Reports.
- Experience developing systems for Microsoft client and server operating systems.
- Experience using and integrating applications with third party controls.
- Experience with licensed product release cycles, client installations and configurations.
- Strong knowledge of XML and related technologies.
- Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively with management, customers, business analysts and other developers.
Desired Skills
- Extensive experience with MS SQL Server 2008 R2.
- Programming experience in using Visual Studio, Visual Studio 2010 preferred.
- Experience with globalization and localization.
- Previous experience with Theatrical Distribution, Exhibition and/or Digital Cinema businesses.
- Understanding of basic accounting (debits/credits/general ledger).
