About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software solutions that support complex planning and operational systems. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure software products using modern software engineering practices and cloud-native technologies.

You will play a key role in architecture definition, technical leadership, software development, and continuous improvement initiatives while contributing to the long-term technical roadmap of enterprise-grade applications.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex software applications and distributed systems.

Collaborate with product managers, systems engineers, and software developers to translate business and technical requirements into scalable solutions.

Define and evolve software architecture for cloud-native and containerized applications.

Develop and maintain technical roadmaps aligned with product and program objectives.

Establish non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, reliability, security, and observability.

Review and guide implementation efforts to ensure alignment with architectural standards and software engineering best practices.

Drive adoption of modern architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven systems, and API-first design.

Support CI/CD pipeline development, test automation, and Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops  best practices.

Conduct design reviews and code reviews, emphasizing maintainability, quality, and system resilience.

Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Contribute to Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

8+ years of professional software development experience with a PhD, 10+ years with a Master's degree, or 12+ years with a Bachelor's degree.

Strong object-oriented programming skills with proficiency in C++.

Strong programming experience in Python
.

Experience designing, developing, and supporting distributed software systems.

Experience developing software in Linux-based environments.

Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-native application development and deployment.

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern Dev Ops or Dev Sec Ops  practices.

Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka
.

Programming experience in one or more additional languages, including Java or C.

Experience with automated testing frameworks and infrastructure as code.

Understanding of software architecture patterns, API design, and scalable system development.

Familiarity with systems modeling and design documentation tools.

Strong mathematical and algorithmic problem-solving abilities.

Experience working in Agile development environments.

Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and source control platforms.

Experience working with enterprise Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
