Accounting Manager
The Interim Senior Accounting Manager will act as a utility player—supporting day‑to‑day accounting, supervising an A/P clerk, and enhancing revenue consolidation processes across multiple entities. This role is ideal for a consultant who enjoys creating structure, writing SOPs, improving processes, and stepping into a leadership‑stabilization role. Requires someone comfortable with multi‑entity accounting and revenue workflows.
Experience in pharma, biotech, REQUIRED
Ability to work onsite 3–4 days per week in Redwood City, CA area
Duration: 3-6 months
Pay Rate: $80/hr-$90/hr
What you will work on- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations with emphasis on A/P oversight, general ledger accuracy, and month‑end close.
- Develop, refine, and maintain multi‑entity revenue consolidation processes.
- Draft and implement SOPs, accounting policies, and internal controls.
- Support financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit preparedness.
- Collaborate with leadership to build scalable processes in a growing, post‑spin environment.
- Supervise and mentor an A/P Clerk as needed.
- Assist with system integrations, data clean‑up, and process migration efforts.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for accounting questions across the organization.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; management experience required.
- Strong background in multi‑entity accounting and revenue consolidation.
- Experience in pharma, biotech, REQUIRED.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
- Experience writing SOPs, accounting policies, and documentation.
- ERP experience with Net Suite, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics;
Sage Intacct experience is a strong plus. - Thrives in a fast‑paced, build‑from‑scratch, post‑transaction environment.
